The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards nominations has been announced and it has flooded the various social media platforms.

The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards will be aired on Tuesday, October 5 at 9 PM ET/PT.It will be taped at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Friday, Oct. 1 and will premiere on BET on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will simulcast internationally on BET Africa on Wednesday, October 6 AT 3 AM CAT.

Cardi B, Lil Durk, and Megan Thee Stallion has got nine nods each Leading the nominations for the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Rapper, Cardi B and Lil Durk’s nine nods include two contenders for song of the year: Cardi for “Up” and “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion; and Lil Durk, as a featured artist on Pooh Shiesty’s “Back in Blood” and Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later.”

Taking the second place is Drake with eight nominations. Tyler, the Creator and Metro Boomin also have four nods each.

Following is 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, J. Cole and Pooh Shiesty who got three nods each.

Bia, Chris Brown, Doja Cat, Jay Z, Lil Nas X, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Saweetie, Young Thug and Yung Bleu tie, had two nods each.

Connie Orlando, EVP specials, music programming & music strategy for BET, in a statement said that,

“Our 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees span generations and are a representation of the talented individuals who elevate hip hop culture in creative and diverse ways”.

Orlando will oversee the annual show, now in its 16th year. Jamal Noisette, BET’s VP specials, music programming & music strategy, will serve as co-executive producer. Jesse Collins, CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment, will serve as executive producer, along with two of his company’s top executives, Jeannae Rouzan–Clay and Dionne Harmon.

Nominees across the 17 categories were selected by a voting body of music industry insiders.
