American rapper Cardi B is among the leading artists who bagged the most nominations during the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards.
Recall, that the “Bodak Yellow” rapper also lead the 2019 Hip Hop Awards, as she received at least 10 nominations.
Cardi B bagged nine nominations from different categories in the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards.
Cardi B,Meghan Thee Stallion and Drake were among the artists who topped this year’s BET.
The “Please Me” rapper,Meghan Thee Stallion also grabbed nine nominations in different categories.Drake also got eight nominations following the two rappers.
Cardi B has dominated this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards.
This cames as the award-giving body announced the official roster of nominees on Thursday.
Cardi B’s “Up” and her collab music “WAP” with Meghan Thee Stallion garnered most of the nominations.
Both songs has been nominated for the BET’s song of the year, best hip-hop video.
“WAP” song has also been nominated for the category, best collaboration of the year.
Also, Cardi’s verse in the song “Type S**t” by Migos, was nominated for the category, Sweet 16: Best Featured verse.
Cardi B’s artistry also gained traction in the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards, as the she was nominated for the categories,hip hop artist of the year, best live performer, and hustler of the year.
Meghan Thee Stallion was nominated for almost all the categories Cardi B was nominated to.This includes the best live performer, hip hop artist of the year, and hustler of the year.
Meanwhile,Drake, Lil Baby, J. Cole, Tyler, the Creator, Doja Cat, DaBaby, Busta Rhymes, Saweetie, and Yung Bleu for the solo categories of the BET Hip Hop Awards.
The other notable nominations in the awards includes Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Lil Nas X, and Young Thug.
The 2021 BET Awards Hip Hop Awards is scheduled on October 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Cardi B has currently given birth to baby Number 2 with her husband offset.
Cardi B shared on her Instagram page photos of herself,offset and the new baby wrapped in a towel on her arms.
In the picture, Cardi and offset sat under a Louis Vuitton blanket as they gaze upon the new baby.
Cardi B’s son is the second child she shared with Offset.Cardi B and offset already have one child Kulture, 3.
Offset is a father to three other children from his previous relationships.
