Betty Ebeling was born in 1928 in Burlington, Washington, United States. She died at the age of 90 on 18 March 2018 in Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, California, United States surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Sadie and Earnest Ebeling.
As said earlier, Betty was the wife of Lee Marvin. They got married in February 1951 and together they had four children, a son Christopher Lamont, and three daughters: Courtenay Lee, Cynthia Louise, and Claudia Leslie.
She meet her husband while she was in School
As a young lady, Betty schooled in Sedro Woolley, Washington High School and upon graduating, she left Washington State for the first time to attend the University of California Los Angeles on scholarship.
While she was in school in LA, she enrolled in the music department and made friends in the arts, where she met her ex-husband Lee Marvin who was a young actor at that time.
Betty Ebeling and her ex-husband married for 16years and after their divorce in 1967 with her ex-husband Lee Marvin, Betty enrolled in Otis Arts Institute and graduated with an MFA in painting. Her creativity and curiosity made her a traveler, designer, storyteller, performer, and a very good cook.
She began a holiday event called “The Christmas Cook Off” when she settled in Santa Barbara. Her friend Julia Child was among the many friends who were often seen in attendance.

Betty wrote a book in her last years about her life called the Tales of a Nollywood Housewife: A Memoir by The First Mrs. Lee Marvin, which got good reviews.

Lee Marvin born Lamont Waltman Marvin Jr was born on 19 February 1924 in New York City to Lamont Waltman Marvin an advertising executive and Courtenay Washington Davidge a fashion writer. He had an older brother called Robert Marvin who was named in honor of Civil war Confederate General Robert E. Lee, who was the first cousin and was removed four times.

Lee Marvin attended Manumit School, a Christian socialist boarding school in Pawling, New York during the 1930s, and Peekskill Military Academy in Peekskill, New York. He later attended St. Leo College Preparatory School, a Catholic school in St. Leo, Florida after having been expelled from several other schools for bad behavior.

Lee Marvin remarried after his divorce from Betty Ebeling
After his divorce from Betty, Lee Marvin met Pamela Feeley, his high school sweetheart, and married in October 1970. She had three children from her previous marriage but she and Marvin did not have any children and they remained married until he died in 1987.
Betty Ebeling also passed away on March 9 2018 in Santa Barbara, California, United States. She died at the age of 90 surrounded by family members and loved ones. The cause of her death was not made public. She probably died of a natural cause.
