Argemiro Escobar Gaviria was born to Abel de Jesus Escobar Echeverri, a simple farmer and Hermilda Gaviria an elementary school teacher.Argemiro’s parents gave birth to seven children. Argemiro Escobar’s brother Pablo was the third of seven children.

Argemiro’s brother celebrates his birthday every year on December 1 and was born in Antioquia, Colombia. He was the sole leader and founder of the Medellín Cartel and was named”the King of Cocaine”.His drug cartel monopolized the cocaine trade in the United States in the 1980s and early 1990s

Argemiro’s brother rose to become the richest criminal as he was rated the seventh richest man in the world in 1989 by Forbes magazine 1989, with an estimated personal fortune of US$25 billion. He also had a compiled estimated net worth of US$30 billion which is equivalent to $64 billion as of 2021.

Argemiro’s brother, Pablo Escobar got married to his wife when she was just 15 years old and he was 26 years., Pablo married Maria Victoria Henao Vallejo in 1976 and they had two children, Juan Pablo (now Sebastián Marroquín) and Manuela.

Argemiro’s brother was rumored to be involved in several other mistresses as he had constant affairs with other ladies but his wife Maria Victoria Henao Vallejo still stood by him and they were still married until his demise.

Argemiro’s brother died in a shootout after he escape from La Catedral amid another attempt to elude the Search Bloc. He suffered gunshots to the leg and torso, and a fatal gunshot through the ear. He died on 2 December 1993.
